James Arbon served with the 51st (late 11th) Battalion (Infantry) of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 267 and he held the rank of Private.
He was killed in action in France on 14 August 1916 aged 31 and is buried in Serre Road Cemetery No 2, Beaumont Hamel, Picardie, France.
His name is located at panel 152 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
